Does this sound like your night?

You’re shattered by 3pm. Then 10pm comes and you’re wide awake.
You get into bed and your mind starts: the thing you said, the thing you didn’t, tomorrow’s list.
Your jaw is tight and your shoulders are up round your ears, and you only notice when you try to lie still.
You fall asleep eventually, then wake at 3am with everything running again.
You’ve tried the apps, the tea, no screens after nine. It helped for a bit.
And you’re back to a glass of wine, or the phone, because at least that switches something off.

Why you can’t switch off

You’re not bad at sleeping

Your body has been on guard all day - and it doesn’t know the day is over. It’s still braced for the next thing. That’s why you can be exhausted and wide awake at the same time: tired is your body, awake is your body still standing guard.

Sleep doesn’t come from trying harder. It comes when your body finally gets the message that it’s safe to stand down. That’s a thing it learns, not a thing you can order. And it learns it by doing it, one night after another.

Seven nights is what it takes to teach it.

How it works

Headphones in. Lights off. Press play.

I talk you down. Nothing to learn, nothing to get right. If you fall asleep halfway through, that’s the point.

  • 1Getting to sleepYou’re asleep before it finishes.
  • 2Deep SleepLonger and slower, for a full night.
  • 3Quiet the Racing MindFor the nights the list won’t stop.
  • 4Putting the day downThe conversation you’re still having in your head, finished.
  • 5The body switches offJaw, shoulders, stomach - lying down, one at a time.
  • 6Sleeping throughDone at bedtime, so your body expects to stay down.
  • 7Waking restedThe first morning you don’t feel wrecked.

Plus the two-page note: Why you’re wide awake at midnight, in plain English.

What changes by Sunday

  • Asleep in under twenty minutes, most nights.
  • Four nights in a row without waking.
  • Your shoulders down before you’ve noticed.
  • A morning where you woke before the alarm and didn’t feel wrecked.

A bit about me

Adam Palmer

For years I was the calm one - the person everyone described as laid back. What I called healthy was running on adrenaline, stress and caffeine: long days in front of a screen, waking up anxious, tired all day and wired at night.

I’d tried everything sensible. What actually changed it was learning to get my body to stand down, one night at a time. These seven nights are exactly what I’d hand anyone who’s where I was.

The Sleep-Tonight Promise - 365 days

Listen to the seven nights. If they don’t get you to sleep, email me any time in the next year and I’ll refund the £7. You keep the audio.

Your questions, answered

“I’ve tried meditation apps.”

These aren’t meditations you do. They’re sessions you fall asleep to. You don’t have to stay awake to make them work.

“What if I fall asleep halfway through?”

That’s the point.

“I wake at 3am, not at bedtime.”

Night 6 is built for that, and the 3am Track at checkout is for the night itself.

“Do I need to do anything in the day?”

No. Bed, headphones, play.

Seven nights. £7. Starting tonight.

P.S. If you’ve been telling yourself you’ll sleep properly once things calm down: things aren’t going to calm down. Your body has to learn to switch off anyway.
