The Way Home · Live online with Adam Palmer · Doors open 14 September

You’ve done the work, so why is the pain still there?

You’ve read the books. You’ve done the therapy - maybe years of it. You can explain your own patterns better than most people ever could. And you’re still doing them: the same arguments, the same triggers, the same symptoms and tension in your body, the same yes that should have been a no.

I know it because I lived it. Therapy, positive thinking, happy affirmations, the gym, a shelf of self help books and notes. Everything helped for a bit, but I kept coming back to the same place - and I started to believe the problem was me.

The real breakthrough came once I realised that everything I had tried was working on my thoughts, and the problem never lived there. It lived in my body and nervous system, and that’s not something you can think your way out of.

The constant overthinking, overwhelm, negative inner voice, muscle tension and rigidity, low self esteem, triggers and reactions - that’s exactly what a body stuck on guard does.

You can understand all of it perfectly and nothing changes - because the understanding happens in your head, and the reaction is happening in your body.

This is what we work on inside The Way Home: live, guided sessions that go to where the pain actually lives and let it release.

What people say

From people who work with me live

Member message Member message Member message Member message

Sound familiar?

Does any of this sound like you?

You say yes when you mean no - and then resent it for a week.
You’re easily triggered and overwhelmed.
You’re the one everyone leans on. Nobody asks how you are, because you’ve made sure they never need to.
You snap at the people you love, then beat yourself up for it after.
You get through the evening on wine, sugar, scrolling or work - anything to distract yourself.
You’re constantly fighting against your muscle tension.
You say “I’m fine” faster than anyone you know.
A voice in your head overthinks constantly and criticises everything you do, and you can’t remember the last time it was quiet.

These look like eight different problems. They are one thing - a body that learned to stay on guard - showing up in your relationships, your evenings, your sleep and your work.

The real reason

This is not a character flaw

Your body is doing exactly what it learned to do. At some point - probably long before you were old enough to choose - staying on guard was the safest thing available. So it learned to stay on guard, and it has done that job so reliably, for so long, it now treats calm and quiet as uncomfortable, and stress and chaos as normal.

That is not weakness, and it is not your personality. It is a body that never got the message that the danger is over - and that’s something that it can learn.

Why nothing stuck

Why therapy helped - and why it didn’t finish the job

I’m not against therapy. It helped me, and it helps many of the people I work with. But talking and this work reach different places.

Talking works on

  • The story of what happened
  • The reasons you do what you do
  • Your understanding of yourself

This work heals

  • The reactions you can’t explain
  • The patterns that keep repeating
  • The tension, and the dread at 2am

The pain you are describing doesn’t live in the story. It lives in the body and nervous system, underneath words, where it was put by things that happened - often a long time ago.

You cannot talk it out of a body, and you cannot think it out either. It has to be released from where it is held. That is the work of The Integration Process.

What a session looks like

The Integration Process

1
Join me live on Zoom

Camera on or off. Lie down or sit comfortably. Nothing to prepare.

2
Close your eyes and follow my voice

Deep relaxation, trancework, hypnosis, body-based release

3
We let it release

Beneath the surface of the story, to the part of you still holding on - and we let it go, one step at a time.

Some sessions are quiet and relaxing. Some are emotional and bring up a lot. Every one of them works on the root of the pain, not the symptoms - which is why, over the weeks, the patterns loosen in a way that understanding never managed.

My story

What this work did for me

Adam Palmer

For years I was the calm one - the person everyone described as laid back. What I called healthy was running on adrenaline, stress and caffeine: long days in front of a screen, waking up anxious, a voice in my head that criticised everything I did, half a dozen unhealthy habits and addictions, and painful and overwhelming relationships.

I’d had years of therapy. I could explain it all - but none of that actually changed anything. What healed me was learning to release it from my body, where all of it was actually stored - not overnight, and not by magic. Session by session, over time.

These days:

  • I can set boundaries and say no - and nothing terrible happens.
  • I’m far less reactive - things that used to trigger me just pass.
  • The relationships in my life are calmer, because I am.
  • The anxiety and pressure that buzzed under everything has gone quiet.
  • I don’t overthink - my mind can actually rest.
  • I sleep better than I have in decades.
  • The inner critic has disappeared.
  • And I’m finally comfortable in my own skin.

The Way Home is the exact work that got me here, done live, with you.

Is this for you?

Who The Way Home is for

This is for you if

  • You have tried a lot - therapy, books, courses, apps - and you are still carrying the same pain and the same patterns.
  • You are done with understanding it. You want it to change.
  • You want to be guided, live, by someone who has been where you are.

This is not for you if

  • You are in crisis or need clinical care - see the note at the bottom of this page.
  • You are hoping for something that works without you showing up. The Way Home works because you come.
  • You want more information rather than change. This is practice, not more information and reading.

Questions

Your questions, answered

“What actually happens in a session?”

You join on Zoom, camera on or off. You lie down or sit comfortably, close your eyes and follow my voice through a guided session - deep relaxation, trancework, body-based release. Afterwards there is time to share or ask, if you want to. Nobody is put on the spot.

“Is this therapy?”

No. It is guided practice and support, not therapy or medical care. Plenty of members do this alongside therapy, and the two work well together.

“Do I need any experience?”

None. If you can lie down and breathe, you can do this. Everything is guided, step by step, in plain English.

“I can’t make the live sessions.”

Every session is recorded and in your library the same evening. Plenty of members do some weeks live and some by replay.

“Is it religious or new-agey?”

No. No beliefs required. It is practical, guided work - people join from all backgrounds.

“What if I join and it’s not for me?”

The 7-day free trial gives you immediate access to everything. Cancel inside the week and you will not be charged a penny. After that, cancel any time in two clicks.

“When do the doors open, and what happens now?”

14 September. Join the waitlist today and your two meditations arrive straight away. When the doors open, the waitlist hears first, and you have a few days to decide. Nothing is charged unless you choose to join.
